Engaging Places are free one day workshops looking at how we can use heritage buildings and spaces in the classroom and are run by The Heritage Alliance. The courses cover:
- The National Curriculum changes for Foundation and Key Stage One and Two.
- Engaging Places – a guide to using buildings and places for learning. This session will introduce you to the website, lesson plans and how you can benefit from promoting your site and events on the website.
- What teachers want – what the teacher need when visiting a heritage site. This session will also discuss effective partnership working.
- Creative projects – Artist Rachel Gadsden will talk about visual arts projects she has delivered in heritage buildings and spaces.
The workshops run from 10.30 until 16.30 and will be held at the following venues:
31st January – Kensington Palace, London (FULLY BOOKED)
6th February – York Minster, York (FULLY BOOKED)
12th February – Peterborough Museum, Peterborough
