Geoff Sawers contacted us to share the news that he has been asked to give a talk at Waterstones on Broad Street in Reading as part of the Heritage Open Days weekend. Broad Street Chapel was a Congregationalist (later URC) Chapel from 1672 to 1984 and had a rich and fascinating story prior to its new use as a branch of Waterstones. Geoff’s talk will focus on the history of the chapel and takes place on Friday 13 September at 7pm.
